A .David Schwarz III,
SIOR began his commercial real estate career in 1971 in Houston. During the first seven years
in the industry, he worked with several small commercial brokerage firms
specializing in investment brokerage and land sales to local and state
developers and users.
In 1978, David founded
and continues to serve as President of A. David Schwarz III Inc., a
management leasing and brokerage firm. The organization specializes in
commercial and industrial brokerage and management. It was with this firm
that David developed his management and leadership skills. Before joining Transwestern as Vice President of General Brokerage Services in 2010, David was a commercial realtor with
McDade Smith Gould, Johnston, Mason + Company since February 2001. From 1997-2000, David was
Executive Vice President of REOC Property Service's Houston Division. His
responsibilities included personal production, supervision of the brokerage
department and new business development.
David has been involved
in over 350 acquisition, disposition and leasing transactions with a volume
in excess of $350,000,000. During his thirty-nine years in the real estate
field, David has developed numerous local and national Clients. A
representative list of David's past and current clients include Smurfit
Plastic Packaging, Snap-on-Tools, PRUCARE, MacGregor Medical Association,
Texas Medical Management, Frost Bank, CALFED, Metropolitan Furniture, Kagan
Edelman Enterprises, Rental Tools and Equipment Company, International
Investors Group, Expressions, Saint James Furniture, SynerMark Investments,
Bral Partnership, Unilev Capital Corporation, Trammell Crow Company, The
Brienwolf Corporation, Warehouse Associates, METRO Wadsworth Properties,
Harry Reed and Company, Soper Optical, The Woodlands, Appaloosa Land
Company, Chaing, Patel & Yerby, Inc., Todd Land Company, Phillips
Development and Realty, Inc, The Prudential Insurance Company of America,
TerraMark Communities, Bergen Brunswig, and Perry Homes.
David earned his
Bachelor of Business Administration with a degree in Accounting from the
University of Texas in Austin, Texas. David served as the past President of
the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and
was awarded the John E. Wolf Citizenship Cup from the Houston Association
of Realtors.
In addition to his
professional activities, David has served on numerous real estate and civic
committees including serving as President of the Rotary Club of Houston and
the former Chairman of the Rotary/Lombardi Award. David is a life member of
the Ex-Students Association of the University of Texas and The Houston Livestock Show
& Rodeo, serving as a Lifetime Committeemen on the Commercial Exhibits
Committee. He is also a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow recipient and a Sterling “R” contributor to
the Realtors Political Action Committee. David has twice served as Chairman
of the Rotary Club of Houston Foundation. David served on the Board of
Directors of the Houston Association of Realtors for 2001-2004 and The
Texas Association of Realtors Board of Directors 2004-2005.
